Thanks so much for viewing our annual online auction. We at Sleepover Shows in Boston spend most of our time filming bands, but each year, we hold an online charity auction. The items you see here are all graciously donated by the bands we’ve filmed over the course of the year, and for that we are extremely grateful.Last year, we were able to raise money for the Greater Boston Food Bank. This year, our cause is a little more personal. When we started this site 3 years ago, we were all freshly out of graduate film school at Boston University. This year, we are raising money to help out one of our friends, a former student at the school and later a screenwriting professor, Will Lautzenheiser.

Earlier this year, Will, for still unknown reasons, contracted group A streptococcus. This was a completely random occurrence. Over the course of a few days, the bacteria spread and caused organ failure, and eventual quadruple amputation of his limbs. He fought hard, and over the course of long weeks and months made about as full a recovery as one could hope. For that we are grateful.

And now, after a long struggle to survive, Will is back in Boston, putting his life back in order. This is where our fundraiser figures in. There is no way that his medical costs can be covered; but what we can do is try to make a dent and help him as much as possible. All profits will be sent directly over to Will so that he can help cover the cost of making his new place comfortable and purchase much needed medical equipment.
