Sleepover Show #123: The Milkman’s Union

We were lucky that our show with The Milkman’s Union took place on one of those beautiful days where, despite a slight chill in the air, the sun is high and keeps you from being too cold. We waited outside some bars near Fenway Park for the band to show. After a few minutes, they pulled up in a car packed to the gills with instruments and equipment. We never know if people will want to take a walk with all their stuff to find someplace interesting to film, but the guys were up for it and we headed to The Fens.
The tall reeds and bright afternoon light made for a perfect backdrop for their set with us. We had been hoping for some time to get a nice day so we could finally film a show in this particular park. Tucked away in the brush, trying to avoid spots of thick mud and puddles, the music filtered through the air and mixed with bird calls and distant traffic din. We were impressed by how comfortable the three band members seemed with this environment and each resulting video attests for their ability to make even those most open of spaces their own.
First up, The Golden Room a song with a lovely intro that builds between keyboard and drum.
Texas Hold Me, the haunting single recently recorded with one of our favorite Sleepover Shows friends, Lady Lamb the Beekeeper.
Finally, I Do Recall from the Telos EP released last year
